Learning objectives
An introductory course on water infrastructure asset management, this course presents an overview of asset management approaches, drinking water and wastewater systems, the particularities of managing non-visible assets, the importance of data quality, and survival analysis for predictive modelling. The course focuses on practical skills such as data wrangling, data enrichment, predictive modelling, and data visualisation, with an emphasis on geospatial data processing. Students will be assessed through an oral presentation of a strategic asset renewal programme for a water network.
