He/she will be able to mobilize linguistic, conceptual, cultural and communicational knowledge and know-how. To do so, he/she will acquire knowledge about practices, events and/or historical, cultural, social, economic and political phenomena. He/she will stimulate his/her imagination through cultural discovery and awareness of difference by varying his/her representations. He/she will develop his/her critical mind.
Description of the programme
The teaching of ICL includes two separate courses per semester: English (LV1) 20h and another language 20h (LV2).
Please note: students enrolled in the Double Degree program will take two FLE courses (LV1 and LV2) in S5 and S6.
These 40 hours of face-to-face classes are supplemented by 10 hours of personal work (independent work, research, exercises, etc.) per language and per semester.
ICLs are taught at a rate of 2 hours per language per week. Level groups are formed following evaluation tests in English, French as a Foreign Language, German and Spanish.
For beginner level French as a foreign language, students will receive 10 (Italian, Spanish, Portuguese) or 15 (German, Chinese, Japanese, Russian) hours of additional support.
NB: Students will only be able to start a language in semester 5.
