Learning objectives
To make the students actors of their training (self-learning and team organization) around a given or chosen subject.
To provide students with a concrete framework to carry out a project that will allow them to better understand the reality of the world of industrial organization and logistics.
Encourage students to refine their professional project by combining their desires, skills and concrete cases in companies.
Develop their ability to design, plan and carry out a project, to work in a team, under constraints and to communicate their results.
Description of the programme
This UE includes :
- Case study N°1 : analyze a concrete problem of organization in a company. Propose improvements in team.
- Case study 2 : analyze a concrete supply chain problem in a company. Propose improvements as a team.
- Lean Management simulation
It allows to approach all the concepts of Lean Management. The participants take on roles in the Management Committee of a company that has decided to improve its operational performance. The project progresses in a methodical way:
draw on posters the detailed mapping of the main processes,
identify the different Mudas (waste) and non-value added,
calculate the performance indicators,
search for the causes of non-value added,
propose improvement actions,
evaluate the risks,
measure the gains.
The topics covered cover the major functions of the company: purchasing, production, sales, distribution, new product design, finance, human resources.
Generic central skills and knowledge targeted in the discipline
Program management: technical aspects (needs analysis, design, planning, and project monitoring) with organizational aspects (stakeholders, organization, communication)
People management: all aspects of team management (role of project leader, members, and coordination of actors)
